Panthers Set for GLIAC Rematches at Roosevelt, St. Cloud State

CALEDONIA, Mich. — Davenport dropped a pair of 1-0 matches last week, falling to St. Cloud State on Friday before a 1-0 setback against Roosevelt on Sunday. The Panthers now hit the road for a pair of GLIAC rematches, traveling to Roosevelt on Friday, Oct. 9, at 2 p.m. before facing St. Cloud State on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m.

Davenport kept both matches within one goal last week, holding St. Cloud State scoreless through the first half before the Huskies found the game-winning goal in the 87th minute. Carter McGowan made two saves against St. Cloud State, while Nathan Hikspoors made two saves in his start against Roosevelt. Kevin Hubbell and Charlie Davis each recorded a shot on goal in Sunday's match. 

The Panthers enter the week at 2-6-3 overall and 1-4-1 in GLIAC play. Isiah Meyer leads Davenport with three goals on the season, while Nathan Hikspoors has recorded 11 saves in three starts. Davenport will look to bounce back on the road when they meet Roosevelt on Friday before returning to St. Cloud State on Sunday.
