GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Davenport men's ACHA D1 hockey put together a dominant offensive performance Sunday afternoon at Patterson Ice Center, rolling to an 11-2 victory over Aquinas College on Senior Day. The Panthers jumped out early behind a pair of goals from Noah Bradburn just eight seconds apart midway through the first period, quickly setting the tone. Aquinas managed a late goal to cut into the lead, but Davenport controlled play throughout the opening frame, outshooting the Saints 18-10 and carrying a 2-1 advantage into the second.

The Panthers extended their lead in the middle period with goals from Logan Martinelli and Sammy Mielock (power-play tally), while maintaining strong pressure in the offensive zone. Despite a physical stretch that featured several penalties on both sides, Davenport continued to dictate pace and possession. Goaltender Paul Jarvis remained steady in net when called upon, helping preserve a three-goal cushion heading into the final period.

Davenport erupted offensively in the third period with seven goals, highlighted by Bradburn completing a hat trick and multi-point efforts from Jack Kelly, Brendan Bauer and Mielock. The Panthers scored five times in a four-minute span to put the game out of reach, showcasing depth throughout the lineup. Davenport finished with a commanding 66-28 edge in shots on goal and converted once on six power-play opportunities, capping a complete team performance in front of the home crowd.

Jarvis finished with 26 saves for his first win of the season in net for the Panthers. Randon Striplin made 49 saves on 60 shots. Kelly finished with two goals and one assist. Bauer totaled a goal and two assists in his final home game. Ryan Blackburn led the team with three assists. Robert McLaughlin was credited with a goal and assist. The Panthers (18-16-2-3) will now have a nine-day layoff before playing in the first round of the GL6 Tournament. Stay tuned to our website for more information when it becomes available.
