Panthers Secure Dominating Victory on Senior Day

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Davenport men's lacrosse team secured a decisive 20–6 victory over Thomas More on Saturday at the DU Field. Jayden Ashley secured a season-best 12 points (10 goals and two assists) to lead the Panthers.

The first quarter commenced with a faceoff win by DU's Logan Flaherty, setting the tone for the Panthers' early dominance. Davenport quickly established a lead, with Ashley scoring three goals at 11:07, 7:21, and 4:11, assisted twice by Charlie Fritz and once by Dylan Fallon. Luke Eichbauer added to the tally with a goal at 1:57. TMU managed to get on the board late in the quarter with a goal at the 21-second mark. The quarter concluded with Davenport leading 4–1, utilizing key defensive stops from Sean House in goal.

Davenport maintained control during the second quarter with a commanding performance. Ashley scored three goals, with assists from Charlie Fritz and Griffin Poll, enhancing the lead. Tommy Becker also contributed a goal, assisted by Fritz, at 9:11. Despite the Saints' late surge, Davenport ended the quarter leading 9–4.

The third quarter saw Davenport extend its lead over the Saints through a series of decisive plays. The Saints scored at 13:22, but Davenport responded strongly. Ashley capitalized on a man-up opportunity with a goal at 11:03, assisted by Will Bjork. Davenport's momentum continued as Becker and Eichbauer each found the net with assists from Ashley and Charlie Fritz, respectively. Eichbauer scored twice in the quarter, with the second assisted by Griffin Poll at 2:06, contributing to Davenport's commanding 16–5 lead by the end of the quarter.

The fourth quarter saw Davenport extend its lead decisively against the Saints. Bryce Collins scored for the Saints at 9:16, but Davenport quickly responded with a goal by Jayden Ashley, assisted by Charlie Fritz at 7:04. Fritz then scored unassisted at 6:25, followed by Ashley's second goal, again set up by Fritz, at 1:44. Will Bjork capped off the scoring with a man-up goal at 1:09, assisted by Ashley, securing a 20–6 victory for Davenport.
