Panthers Stay Hot, Pick Up Fourth Win of 2026 Campaign

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. —  Addison Roe led the Davenport University women's lacrosse team to a convincing 21-7 victory over Thomas More on Friday (March 6) afternoon with a game-high five goals to go along with one assist. The sophomore has caught fire after setting a career-high with three goals against D'Youville (Feb. 28), she has now followed that up with 11 goals in two games.

The first quarter commenced with Davenport's Alyssa Bird opening the scoring at 13:13, following a ground ball pickup after causing a turnover. The Saints responded with a goal from Hannah Scheland, assisted by Julia Diller, at 3:56. However, Davenport regained the lead when Jenna Gillis scored at 3:41 with an assist from Roe.Jade Remacle netted another goal for Davenport at 2:07, shortly after the Saints had equalized the score at 2:18. Davenport closed the quarter strongly with Ashley Sanders scoring at 1:05, securing a 4-2 advantage heading into the second quarter.

DU dominated the early moments of the second quarter, with Brianna Rodriguez scoring the first goal at 10:43, followed by Remacle capitalizing on a player-up opportunity at 8:55 with an assist from Gillis. Davenport extended its lead with consecutive goals from Roe, who found the back of the net twice, including one assisted by Rodriguez at 2:45. Despite the Saints' efforts, including goals from Pierani and Anna Wells, Davenport maintained control, with Ashley Sanders' defensive efforts leading to multiple turnovers. The quarter concluded with a player-up goal by the Saints' Payton Davis at the 0:05 mark, ending the quarter with Davenport leading 10-5.

The Panthers extended their lead in the third quarter with a strong offensive performance, scoring eight goals to the Saints' one. Bird opened the scoring with a player-up goal at 13:17, capitalizing on a free position shot. Roe contributed two goals, including one at 8:30 with an assist from Remacle. Gabby Basha and Rodriguez also found the net, with Rodriguez scoring at 5:37 assisted by Bird. Despite a goal from Wells for the Saints at 8:43, Davenport maintained momentum, closing the quarter with Emma Reelman's goal at 00:26, assisted by Gillis, to bring the score to 18-6.

In the final quarter, Rodriguez scored a player-down goal at 8:05, assisted by Mika Kulynych. Elly Teliczan extended Davenport's lead with another goal at 4:59, again assisted by Kulynych. The Saints' Pierani managed a player-up goal from a free position shot at 1:32, but Ava Pickett capped the quarter with a player-down goal for Davenport with just 11 seconds remaining.
