GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Davenport enters GLIAC play this week coming off its first win of the season, defeating Aquinas 1-0 on Saturday. The Panthers will open conference play Wednesday at Saginaw Valley State before returning home Sunday to host Northern Michigan.

Isiah Meyer scored the game-winning goal in the 18th minute off an assist from Drew Matyunas. Davenport's defense held Aquinas scoreless, while Beau Hudd and Matyunas combined for five saves to preserve the shutout. Matyunas made four saves in the second half, including a pair of stops in the final nine minutes.

The Panthers open conference play Wednesday, Sept. 16, traveling to Saginaw Valley State for a 1 p.m. kickoff. Davenport will then return home Sunday, Sept. 20, hosting Northern Michigan at 11 a.m.
