GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Davenport split a pair of GLIAC matches last week, earning a 3-2 win at Parkside on Friday before falling 1-0 at Purdue Northwest on Sunday. The Panthers now return to their home field for a two-match weekend, facing St. Cloud State on Friday, Oct. 2, at 2 p.m. before taking on Roosevelt on Sunday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m. in Caledonia. 

Carter McGowan made 14 saves across the two matches, including nine in the win at Parkside and five against Purdue Northwest. Davenport was outshot 22-8 by Parkside, but McGowan and the Panthers held on for the 3-2 victory. Charlie Davis scored the game-winning goal against Parkside, while Isiah Meyer and Dugan Black also found the back of the net in the conference win.
 
The Panthers enter the week at 2-4-3 overall and 1-2-1 in GLIAC play. Meyer leads Davenport with three goals on the season, while McGowan has recorded 14 saves in his two starts. Davenport will look to get back in the win column when it hosts St. Cloud State on Friday.
