Panthers Open October Against Roosevelt and SVSU

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Coming off a split weekend in GLIAC play, Davenport women's volleyball turns its attention to matchups against Roosevelt and Saginaw Valley State. The Panthers battled No. 16 Grand Valley State in a four-set loss on Sept. 25 before bouncing back with a 3–0 sweep of Purdue Northwest on Sept. 26. Davenport carried its competitive play against the Lakers into Saturday's matchup, closing the weekend with a strong performance against the Lions.

The Panthers are 9–4 overall and 3–3 in conference play, sitting in a four-way tie for fourth place in the GLIAC alongside Parkside, Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan. Davenport will host Roosevelt before traveling to Saginaw Valley State in its first meetings with both programs this season. This weekend begins a challenging stretch for Davenport, with matchups against Northern Michigan and No. 1 Ferris State scheduled for the following weekend.
