Biography
2021-22 (So.) (Davenport): One of just three Panthers, along with Chris Rollins and Jairus Stevens, to start all 31 of the team's games...scored in double-figures in 12 games including 15 or more on five occasions and a career high 28 on March 5 against Saginaw Valley State in the GLIAC Tournament semifinals...reached that 10-point mark just twice in the first 14 games before doing so 10 times in the season's final 17 contests...in that 28-point performance against the Cardinals, Maranka also brought down a personal best 10 rebounds for the first double-double of his career...blocked 37 shot attempts, the fourth most in program history and most by a Panther since John McCloud racked up 45 during the 2015-16 campaign...averaged 1.2 blocks per game which is good for a tie for second in program history...those 37 total blocks were good for fourth in the GLIAC and so were his 1.2 stuffs per contest...named to the GLIAC All-Tournament Team after scoring a total of 51 points in those three games, or 17 per contest.
2020-21 (So.) (Toledo): Played in 13 contests…averaged 4.1 mpg...tallied season-high four points to go along with three boards at Xavier (Nov. 27)…grabbed season-best five rebounds in season-high 11 minutes vs. Cleveland State (Dec. 1).
2019-20 (Fr.) (Toledo): Appeared in all 32 games…averaged 6.9 minutes per game...tallied a career-high 10 points, six rebounds and three blocked shots vs. Northwestern Ohio (Nov. 23)…scored nine points and sank a career-best five free throws at Kansas City (Dec. 17)…scored eight points and grabbed four rebounds vs. Howard (Nov. 17)…blocked a shot in five of last seven contests.
High School: Totaled 2,094 points, 1,071 rebounds, 301 blocked shots, 230 assists, and 133 steals in four years for the Grand Rapids Angels…named National Christian Homeschool Basketball Post Player of Year as senior…received NCH’s Midwest Post Player of Year four-straight years…three-time all-state honoree...four-time all-region selection…averaged 15.2 ppg, 7.0 rpg and 2.7 bpg as junior...ranked as No. 11 recruit in state of Michigan by PrepHoops.com.
