2017 (Junior): Made 11 appearances including one start...posted a 5.04 ERA in 25 innings of work...went 0-2 and struck out 22...made one appearance as pinch runner and scored a run...lefties hit just .197 (6-for-31) against him...went four innings and allowed two hits with four strikeouts against Judson (Mar. 1)...threw a season-high 7.2 innings and struck out eight against Indiana Tech (Apr. 9).

Prior to DU: Attended Kellogg Community College...made 12 appearances in 2016 as a sophomore...went 3-1 toeing the rubber in 17.2 innings...posted a 2.55 ERA and struck out six...during the 2015 season, made 11 appearances for a total of 10 innings...allowed 14 hits and five walks with five strikeouts.

High School: Prepped at Rudyard HS under coach Ron VanSloten...named First Team All-State as an infielder in 2013...named Second Team All-State as an infielder in 2014...named First Team All-Region in 2012, 2013, 2014...won districts all four years and was a state semifinalist in 2012...played basketball and won three districts.

Personal: Son of Ron and Andrea VanSloten...majoring in business management...father was a head coach at Rudyard for 22 years and compiled a 444-186-4 record...he was inducted into the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2016.
