2016 (Soph.): Played in 55 games and made 52 starts in his first season at DU...named Honorable Mention All-WHAC...selected as WHAC Player of the Week (Apr. 4)...held the following ranks in the WHAC: seventh in slugging (.533), tied for seventh in runs (44), tied for eighth in RBI (40), seventh in home runs (6), sixth in HBP (9) and third in sacrifice flies (5)...tied for eighth in a season at DU with 15 doubles...batted .314 with 53 hits in 169 at-bats...scored 44 runs and drove in 40 runs...drew 19 walks and hit by pitch nine times for a .401 on-base percentage...batted .340 (18-for-53) with runners in scoring position...recorded 17 multi-hit games...registered 10 multi-RBI contests including four three-RBI games...hit in the batting order in seven different spots with the most at leadoff (20 games)...drove in three runs and scored twice in season opener at Union, Ky. (Feb. 5)...went 3-for-4 at the dish with three RBI against Aquinas (Mar. 22)...had five hits and four RBI in NAIA Opening Round.

Prior to DU: Enrolled at Coastal Carolina but did not see action in 2015...batted .459 for Elgin Community College in 2014...named Second Team All-American and Marucci Hitter of the Region.

High School: Prepped at Saint Charles East HS (Ill.) under coach Len Asquni...named First Team All-Conference and All-Region...team advanced to state semifinals in 2013...member of honor roll.

Personal: Son of Steve and Carrie Sobieski...majoring in business...played summer ball for the Lakeshore Chinooks of the Northwoods League in 2017...also played for Muskegon Clippers of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League.
