Corbin Clouse has joined the Panther coaching staff in 2022 and will be a valuable asset to the pitching staff. Clouse pitched for Davenport for three seasons from 2014-2016. He had a 2.23 ERA and 9-1 record in 93 innings and struck out 110 batters. His final season was remarkable with a 5-0 record and 1.62 ERA in 50 innings. He allowed 25 hits and walked 25 with 75 strikeouts. He holds the single-season school record for opponents batting average at .141 during 2016. He was named Honorable Mention All-WHAC in 2016.
Clouse was drafted in the 27th round of the 2016 MLB amateur draft by the Atlanta Braves. He quickly rose the ranks of the organization and by 2018 had reached Triple A with the Gwinnett Stripers. He posted a 4.43 ERA in 28 appearances during his time in Gwinnett and struck out 55 in 44.2 innings. He also spent parts of three seasons in Double A for the Mississippi Braves and posted a 2.08 ERA in 82.1 innings and allowed 68 hits with 40 walks and 108 strikeouts. During his minor league career, he posted a 17-9 record with a 2.47 ERA in 207.2 innings and had 14 saves.
