Josh Rebandt

Rebandt enters his second season as pitching coach for Davenport University. In his first season, he tutored an excellent pitching staff highlighted by Grant Wolfram being selected by the Texas Rangers in the MLB Draft. Wolfram and teammate Andrew Click were both selected First Team All-GLIAC. Justin Palmbos was also named Second Team All-GLIAC under Rebandt's direction. The team posted a 4.87 ERA in 2018 and had 406 strikeouts, marking the third straight year DU went over 400 strikeouts.

Rebandt also got exciting news on October 25, 2018 as he was named field manager of the Traverse City Pit Spitters of the Northwoods League.
 
Rebandt came to Davenport University from Olivet Nazarene University where he served as pitching coach and recruiting coordinator for the Tigers. ONU captured the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season championship in 2016 and won their most games (39-17) since 2005. The pitching staff had the 10th best earned run average in NAIA with 3.11 under Rebandt's guidance. The staff earned run average was also the lowest by ONU since 2005.

Rebandt has also served as pitching coach for the Lakeshore Chinooks of the Northwoods League. His staff is posting a 3.31 earned run average at the time of this release with 559 strikeouts in 647 innings. Rebandt has also been the head coach for the Niagara Power of the New York Collegiate Baseball League. His team reached the Western Division Finals and he coached seven players named to the NYCBL All-Star Team, a franchise record, in 2015. In his three seasons with the team, he won 64 games.

Rebandt played collegiately for one year at Adrian College where he experienced the NCAA Division III College World Series in 2008 and then played and captained the team at Clearwater Christian College for his final three years. In 2011, CCC was the NCCAA National Runner-Up. Upon graduation and after a coaching change, Rebandt was thrust into the role of Head Coach for his alma mater, where he gained on-the-job training from 2011-2014. He holds a bachelor's degree from Clearwater Christian College and a master's degree from Olivet Nazarene.
