Trace Jones joined the Davenport University men's basketball staff in September of 2025.
Prior to joining the staff, Jones spent two seasons at Bethany College in West Virginia as a Graduate Assistant coach. While at Bethany, Jones helped assist the team in leading the Presidents Athletic Conference in scoring in back-to-back seasons. Jones also assisted the team to more wins in his two years there than in the previous five years combined.
As a player, Jones played three years at Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio (2019-2022). He also played one year at Finlandia University in Hancock, Michigan (2022), where he led the team in rebounds before suffering a career-ending injury.
Jones, a South Bend, Indiana native graduated from Muskingum University with a bachelor's degree in Sports Administration.
