Daniel Catzere

Dan Catzere is entering his first season as part of the Davenport men's lacrosse coaching staff.

Dan was raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan where he attended East Grand Rapids High School. Dan Currently lives here and works for True Lacrosse Michigan as a Director.  While at East Grand Rapids Dan focused most his energy and efforts towards his two favorite sports Lacrosse and Football. While attending EGR Dan played in 4 state championships winning two in football (2002 and 2003) and one in lacrosse (2004).

Dan went on to play Lacrosse for Davenport University, In 2009 Dan became the captain of DU while Davenport made its first trip to the National tournament in Denver, Colorado. That year in 2009 Dan lead the panthers to a Final Four appearance subsequently losing to the team that won the National Championship that year. Also in 2009 Dan was coaching back at EGR where they went on to win a State Title.

In the Fall of 2010 Dan took a job at Grand Valley State University as the Defensive Coordinator under Head Coach Tim Murray. While at GVSU Dan went for a combined 57/12 in four years. Dan was the with GVSU last year in 2014 as the Lakers won their schools first MCLA DII National Championship. Dan was also able to win 4 straight CCLA Conference Championships in his tenure.Â
