T.K. Rock begins his first season at Davenport as an assistant football coach. Rock most recently was the interim running backs coach at Kent State University for a two-month period in 2015. He has been with the Kent State coaching staff since August 2014 as an offensive graduate assistant. He worked with the quarterbacks in the fall of 2014 and the offensive line in the fall of 2015.Â
Rock also performed a coaching/recruiting internship at Purdue University in the summer of 2014. He worked on developing the playbook for the Boilermakers as well as prospect evaluation and identification. Rock also worked with the summer camps in organization and implementation.
Rock also has experience with the Elliott Quarterback Academy from December 2012 to January 2014. He helped instruct middle school and high school aged quarterbacks and also was training the athletes both mentally and physically.
Rock played his collegiate football at NCAA Division II Ashland University (Ohio). He was named a GLIAC All-Academic selection three times and was a member of the Ashland Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC). Rock was named to the OhioCollegeFootball.com Division II First Team in 2013. He holds a bachelor's degree in sports management from Ashland and a master's degree in sports administration from Kent State.
