In a rematch against the Rangers later in the season, she registered 10 strikeouts and only allowed three earned runs through 9.2 innings pitched (April 28)... 2021 (Jr.): She was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year… All-G-MAC First Team… Picked up G-MAC Pitcher of the Week honors three times in 2021, and was named the Wilson/NFCA National Pitcher of the Week on March 17… Registered a perfect game in the season opener against Rockford (3/8)... Started the season 6-0 only allowing two runs during that span… Ended the season with a 1.96 ERA in 189.0 innings pitched, putting together a 22-8 record with 236 strikeouts
2020 (So.): In a condensed season due to COVID-19, Byers pitched 17.1 innings in four starts and five total appearances... Byers was 0-4 with a 6.87 ERA... Struck out 14 batters, including seven in the season-opener versus Concord (WV).

High School: Byers was a four-year member of the West Branch softball team. As a senior, she led the Warriors to the OHSAA Division II State Championship where they lost 3-2 in 12 innings. Byers, who totaled nine strikeouts in the title game, posted a 13-3 record in her senior season with a 1.22 ERA and 176 strikeouts compared to just 16 walks. For her efforts, Byers was named First Team All-Ohio and First Team All-District. Byers earned All-Northeastern Buckeye Conference accolades in each year of her high school career. She was named to the NBC Second Team as both a freshman and a sophomore and then was voted to the NBC First Team as a junior and senior. Byers also received All-District recognition as a junior after posting a 1.80 ERA and helping West Branch win the 2017 NBC Championship. Byers registered a microscopic 0.61 ERA as a sophomore. She tossed four no-hitters in the circle throughout her career, including the only perfect game in West Branch history.
