The Cougars from Spring Arbor University were able to prevail in a close match as they downed the Panthers 3-1 (30-27, 23-30, 32-30, 30-27) in a non-conference tilt. Davenport drops to 9-22 on the year as they will take the weekend off before traveling to Aquinas College next week Tuesday.

The match was played about as close as one can be played and after splitting the first two games, Spring Arbor pulled out the crucial 4th game after Davenport had numerous chances to pull out the win. The middle attacks led the Panthers offense tonight as Joyce Larioza posted 21 kills and Autumn Williams 17.  Kayla Vandermolen dished out 45 assists in the loss.
