Muncie, Ind. - The women's lacrosse team made history today as they defeated Ball State University 11-2 for their first win in program history. The win comes on the heals of a tough loss to Grand Valley State on Thursday night.

After playing their most complete game of the season on Thursday night against a veteran Lakers squad, the Panthers came back strong and defeated the host Cardinals in Muncie, IN.  Lydia Bedford led the way with 5 goals and 2 assists and was followed in scoring by Kendra Stieg (1 goal and 4 assists), Jamie VandeWinkle (2 goals), Daniella Bugli (1 goal and 1 assist), Lisa Brown (1 goal) and Helena Stieg (1 assist).

The win lifts DU to 1-2 on the year as they will host Western Michigan University on Tuesday, March 25. The time and place of the game have yet to be determined. Check the website for more details later.
