Albion, Mich. - The weather still did not cooperate for the women's lacrosse team but they made the most of their trip to Albion on Saturday as they defeated the host school 8-7. The win lifts DU to 5-4-1 on the year.
Davenport rebounded nicely after losing on Thursday night to Western Michigan University by scoring eight goals in the victory over Albion.
Lydia Bedford led the way with five points (3g, 2a) for a very balanced Panthers attack and was followed in scoring by Kendra Stieg (2g, 1a), Jamie VandeWinkle (2a), Brittany Roys (2g) and Daniella Bugli (1a).
Davenport will play two games on Sunday in the Toledo University Tournament. Augustana an Ohio University are the scheduled teams for Sunday's action.
