Box Score

Deerfield, Ill. - The women's soccer team had two things going against them Saturday; playing against a veteran Trinity International squad and playing less than 24 hours after tying Illinois Tech. The combination did not mix well as Davenport fell 5-0 to drop to 0-1-1 on the season.

Davenport, which saw a late lead slip away the day before at Illinois Tech, came out flat against the host team and Trinity jumped on the sluggish defense to post four goals in the game's opening 15 minutes of play. The Panthers would settle down and from that point until halftime controlled the play and came close on a few scoring chances.

The second half start was not as bad as the first but an early goal from the host increased the lead to five and the game would end with a 5-0 score.

The loss drops DU to 0-1-1 on the season as they will now have almost two full weeks off befoe traveling to Huntington University (IN) on September 9. Game time is set for 3:00 PM.
