UPLAND, Ind. - In a rare mid-season non-conference matchup, the Lady Panthers were dealt their third loss of the season and second in the last three games as they fell 2-0 to Taylor University (10-6).  DU will return to the pitch on Tuesday when they take on WHAC leading Cornerstone on the road.

Looking to equal their single season win total from a year ago, the Lady Panthers were unable to overcome two first half goals from the Trojans as they were shutout 2-0.

Taylor got on the board in the 16th minute of the opening half and then put up their second just six minutes later.  Unfortunately for DU, that would be the only scoring of the game as the host Trojans played solid defense to earn the shutout.

DU was led in shots by Lizzie Paul (England) who finished the game with five (three on goal) as freshman Savannah Swanson (Cedar Springs, Mich.) also posted a shot on goal.

Jessica Bergsma (Jenison, Mich.) took the loss in net for DU falling to 7-3-3 on the year.

DU will meet league leading Cornerstone University on Tuesday at 4:00pm with hoped of handing the Golden Eagles their first loss in conference play. The Lady Panthers will then host Aquinas College on Saturday at 12:30pm on senior day.
