GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - A 9-5 deficit with 19:03 remaining was too much to overcome as Davenport dropped their second game of the Shamrock Classic 12-10 to Olivet College.  DU falls to 1-6 on the year and will be in action next on March 30 when they meet the Comets in Battle Creek.

Michon Moline (Rockford, Mich.) continued her outstanding weekend as the sophomore collected four goals to go along with her five from yesterday but it was not enough to help the Lady Panthers overcome a four goal deficit late in the game.

Olivet got on the board first when Alyssa Meny scored to make it 1-0 just 1:44 into the game but DU came back with two straight goals from Moline and Simone Hairston (Muskegon, Mich.).  Unfortunately that would be the final lead of the game for Davenport as the Comets rattled off the next four goals to take a 5-2 lead.

Davenport finally ended the Comets' run when Brittanie Bond (Rockford, Mich.) scored on a beautiful pass from Alex Kuzma (Hudsonville, Mich.) and Bond added one more goal in the half to cut the margin to just one at 5-4.

Olivet then came out on fire to start the second as they picked up three straight goals and four of the first five to post a 9-5 lead.  The lone DU goal was from Jessica Talcott at 20:37.

With a four goal deficit in front of them, Davenport did not back down as they scored five of the next seven goals to get within one at 11-10 wth only 33 seconds to play.  During the run. Moline scored three goals while DU also got tallies from Jessica Talcott (Ada, Mich.)and Alex Kuzma.

A draw control that was won by Olivet with just under 30 seconds gave the Comets the possession and they scored to make it a two goal game with just over 10 seconds and that is how the game would finish.

Davenport falls to1-6 on the year.
