GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The DU Student Center will be the center of attention for West Michigan small college basketball on Wednesday night as Aquinas College travels to Davenport for a 7:30pm showdown.  It will be the second meeting between the two GR-area schools this season and WBBL 107.3 FM will have the call live. DU then travels to Cornerstone on Saturday for a 3:00pm contest and the station will also carry that game.

Aquinas College comes into Wednesdays game with an overall record of 15-13 and the Saints are 11-5 in league play.  The Panthers improved to 25-3 with a 79-60 win over Northwestern Ohio this past Saturday and are 15-1 in the WHAC.

WBBL 107.3 FM and Bret Bakita will have the call live from the Student Center and he will be joined by Brett Muller as the duo have provided coverage of numerous games at Davenport over the past few seasons.  You can listen to their broadcast by clicking here.

Davenport trails in the overall series to Aquinas 6-15 but the Panthers have won 5 of the last 7 meetings between the schools that are separated by just 11.3 miles.  Davenport posted a 66-61 win earlier this season as the Panthers rallied from a 10-point second half deficit to post the win.

The Davenport Athletics Network (DAN) will also have the game broadcast on live video as Gene Halbert will be joined by Dave Herrema beginning with the pre-game show at approximately 7:15pm.

Then on Saturday, Bakita and Muller will have the call again as the Panthers face rival Cornerstone in the regular season finale.  This marks the fourth straight year the two GR-area WHAC schools meet in the final game of the season as the Panthers posted a 2-OT win last year.
