SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The women's lacrosse team traveled to Notre Dame College to battle their second NCAA Div. II opponent of the season. Unfortunately, they did not have the same result as their previous meeting with D2 Urbana University and lost 20-4 tonight. The loss ends a three-game winning streak and drops their season record down to 8-6 as they wrap up NWLL play this week.
The Lady Panthers gave up their largest number of goals since their March 1st meeting with SCAD when their lost by the same score 20-4.
The Falcons set the tone of the game early as they scored three goals in the first two minutes of play and went on to lead 4-0 before DU got on the scoreboard.
Schae Hoebeke was the first to score for Davenport.
Taylor Balch and
Kaitlyn Lowden also added goals in the first period, but the DU defense allowed nine more for Notre Dame making the score 13-3 at halftime.
NDC got off to another fast start in the second period with four unanswered goals extending their lead to 14.
Michon Moline was able to find the net for DU, but it was not enough as the Falcons completed the 20-4 victory.

"Defensively we were not marking up on the cutter and allowed them to have easy passes and shots in the 8m. We had a difficult time in transition slowing their fast break despite us having the faster team."
