How Davenport Got to the Quarterfinal
The seventh-seeded Panthers had to put together another comeback thriller to advance to the quarterfinal. Looking to pull an upset victory, Cumberland (Tenn.) had a 2-1 lead all throughout the second half and was three minutes away from victory before Letesha Cannonier scored the tying goal. Davenport would complete the rally nearly three minutes into the second overtime with a golden goal by Paige Eli.

The Warriors, who received an at-large berth to the national championship, moved to the quarterfinal with a 2-0 win over Martin Methodist Monday afternoon. Brooke Lillywhite scored the eventual match winner in the 39th minute and Kathryn Hornibrook added the insurance goal in the 81st. Seventeen players have combined for 48 goals, with Kelsey Steck leading the team with eight.

History Between Davenport and Westmont
Davenport and Westmont rarely see each other with their respective campuses located in Michigan and California, respectively. And although this is the programs' first meeting, it is not the first time the two schools have met. Early in the fall season the volleyball teams met in California, with the Warriors edging the Panthers in five sets (25-19, 21-25, 18-25, 25-20, 15-11).
