Sara Kuzava scored four goals and leading scorers
Tara Pluger and
Taylor Balch had one but it wasn't enough as the Davenport women's lacrosse team dropped a 12-6 decision on the road to Robert Morris (Ill.) Monday evening. The Panthers, who fall to 6-4 on the year, returns home as well as to Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference play Wednesday to take on Siena Heights Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Lena Henderson made a dozen saves between the pipes.
The Eagles (8-2) jumped on the board 2:45 into the matchup but Davenport would answer back on Balch's goal at the 22:41 mark and would take a 2-1 lead on Kuzava's first goal of the day. However the Eagles built a momentum as they would score four unanswered goals to jump ahead 5-2 with 6:03 left in the first half. Kuzava would score her second goal at 3:59 but Robert Morris added two more goals to head into intermission with a 7-3 lead.
Robert Morris would score four more goals nearly 12 minutes into the second period before Davenport would slowly answer back. Kuzava and Pluger would score in the span of 33 seconds midway through the half and Kuzava would complete her fourth goal at the final horn.

Robert Morris has now evened the all-time series two wins apiece…
Taylor Balch scored her 67
th career goal and now needs 11 more to tie Lydia Bedford (2008-09) for fourth all-time…Balch also tallied her 88
th career point and needs seven more to tie Bedford for fifth all-time…
Sara Kuzava has matched her season single-game best four goals, having done so three times.
