Box Score GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Davenport Women's Lacrosse team opened up their home schedule on Tuesday night with a 10-8 win over Alma College at the DU Turf Field.
Tara Pluger led the Lady Panthers with three goals while seven other Panthers added a
goal.
Lena Henderson picked up the win in net, making seven saves as DU won their fourth straight game.
The Lady Panthers got off to a hot start in the first half outscoring the Scotts 5-0 in the first 15 minutes.

Britteny Willis, all scored for DU in that strecht, capped off by a goal from Emily Devries set up by
Taylor Balch. Alma matched the Lady Panthers goal for goal in the final 15 minutes of the first half to make it 8-3 at the end of the first half.
It was slow going at the start of the second half for both teams as neither team scored in the first 15 minutes. Alma picked up the first goal of the second half with 14:58 remaining to start a 4-1 run for the Scotts that brought them within two goals with 9:53 left. Pluger put the run to a stop with her third goal of the game to give DU a three goal lead. Alma added one last goal in the final minute but were unable to complete the comeback.
