Scouting Lawrence Tech – 4-18, 2-12 WHAC – Head coach Tom Kempf (2nd Year; 7-45 overall)
Tom Kempf is in his second year guiding the Blue Devils and he is the first coach in program history as the school started it in 2012-13. Over those two years, the Blue Devils are a combined 7-45 including a 4-18 mark so far this season. LTU got arguably its biggest win in program history when they knocked off Lourdes, a team who had been ranked inside the Top-25 poll this season, in a game played on January 15. That was their last win however as the Blue Devils have gone 0-3 since including a 22-point setback to UNOH on Saturday. Jake Mullin leads the Blue Devils at 13.4 points per game while Brad Watterworth is second at 11.1. LTU ranks 23rd in the NAIA in Scoring Defense (70.2) and are 26th in Defensive Rounds per Gem (32.5).
Double-Figure Wins
Since Lawrence Tech started its program in 2011-12, the Panthers have won all three meetings and all have come by at least 16 points including the most lop-sided one of 25 (82-57) in the second meeting last year. DU won by 23 in Southfield last season.
Last Meeting vs. Lawrence Tech
The Panther improved to 3-0 all-time against Lawrence Tech with a 69-53 win over the Blue Devils back on December 7 at the Student Center. The win broke a 2-game skid at home for the Panthers as Dominez Burnett and Kevin Rich combined for 37 points in the win.
