Cedar Rapids, IA. – The Davenport women's rugby team traveled out of state for the first time all season as they took on the Cedar Rapidss women's rugby club team Saturday afternoon. Six different Panthers recorded tries for Davenport, with four of them scoring two, as Davenport defeated Cedar Rapids 62-15. The Panthers will return home to the Turf Field next weekend to face Central Michigan in their final regular season match.
 
The Panthers found themselves down early as Cedar Rapidss took the opening kickoff to the try zone after Davenport's back three suffered some mishandling errors. A few moments later, Danielle Ordway fed Ashlee Byrge after a nice break down on the left side and put Davenport on the board.
 
From there, the route was on, as Byrge tallied another try, as well as Makala Ferguson, Brittany O'Dell, and Courtenay Tafel recording two tries of their own. Jennifer Harig and Allison Miedzielec also scored tries for the Panthers. Hannah Tennant was 6-8 on her conversion attempts, and now has a conversion rate of 55% on the season.
 
The Panthers now stand at 7-0 on the season, and have outscored their opponents 355-27. Davenport will return to the Turf Field next Saturday as they host Central Michigan under the lights for their final game of the regular season. Kickoff is slated for 8 p.m.
