GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Davenport Men's Rugby team is coming off their biggest victory of the season as they downed No. 12 Wheeling Jesuit by a score of 39-10.
Gabe Sochanek led the way for the Panthers with two tries, and the Panthers got themselves back above .500 as they now stand at 4-3. The Panthers will travel to St. Charles, MO. this Saturday to take on conference-rival Lindenwood in their regular season finale. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.

The Panthers In last Saturday's game, the Panthers found themselves down early as Wheeling Jesuit recorded the first try of the game with 12 minutes to go in the first half. The Panthers answered with a penalty kick from
Jean Pierre Eloff and a try from
Knute O'Donnell to go into the half up 13-10.
Davenport tallied four tries from three different players in the second half, and shutout the Cardinals for the rest of the game as they walked away with a much-needed 39-10 victory.
Scouting Lindenwood The Lindenwood Lions come into Saturday's match with an overall 5-1 record, and are coming off their first loss of the season, as they were shutout by No.2 Life 41-0. The Lions are no strangers to the Panthers, as they are both in the Mid-South Conference and have played against each other 9 times prior to Saturday's match. Lindenwood own a 6-3 series record on Davenport, including their 64-32 win in the second round of the D-1 National Tournament earlier this year.
After this weekend's match, The Panthers will have a month off to prepare for a 7s play tournament at Arkansas State on Novemeber 22-23.
