Grand Rapids, Mich. - The Davenport Women's Rugby team continues its nearly perfect 2014 campaign this weekend as they travel to Ohio to take on Notre Dame College in the second round of the USA Rugby Women's DII Fall Championship. The winner will advance to the quarterfinal match on Sunday, and will play the winner of Ithaca College vs. Cincinnati.

The Panthers The 9-0 Panthers come into second round playoff action after cruising to a 111-0 victory in the first round over Illinois State.
Ashlee Byrge recorded six tries and 12 conversions on the day, totaling a walloping 54 points for the Panthers.
Danielle Ordway tallied three additional tries of her own, as
Melissa Francis contributed two. Six other Panthers were able to reach the try zone for DU as well, and continued to play elite defense in the shutout victory.
The Matchup The Panthers and Falcons are no stranger to one another in the two years of DU's program history. The two teams have met once before earlier this March in 15s play on the Turf Field, where the Panthers defeated the Falcons by a score of 46-26. The two teams also squared off in the USA Rugby 7s National Qualifier in April, where Notre Dame defeated the Panthers in both of the games they competed in.
