GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Davenport D1 hockey team will conclude their toughest stretch of the season as they will have played seven games over a 13 day span including playing three games in three days twice during that stretch. The Panthers will conclude a four game in six-day stretch on Tuesday night when they travel to Adrian, Mich., to Adrian College at 7 p.m.

Scouting AdrianÂ
The Bulldogs come into the final matchup before the Thanksgiving break with a 17-1-1-0 record and are ranked fifth in the ACHA rankings. Brad Kobryn continues to lead the charge for Adrian with 25 goals and 38 points on the season. In the lone game for Adrian last weekend, the Bulldogs had a road game against Eastern Michigan. Adrian was able to hang onto to beat Eastern Michigan 7-5.

The PanthersÂ
Davenport had a big week last week as they won all three games they played including a win over Liberty to reclaim the Blue-Gray Cup, along with a sweep of Western Michigan.
Jordan Simmonds and
Kody Polin lead the way for the Panthers as each has 17 points on the season. Simmonds leads the way with 11 goals, while Polin leads the team with nine assists. In goal,
Matt Kaludis picked up three wins last week to move his record to 7-5-0 on the season. Kaludis also has a 3.04 goals against average to go along with a .889 save percentage.

GLCHL OutlookÂ
Adrian still leads the pack with 35 points on the season ad Western Michigan is sitting right behind the Bulldogs at 27 points on the season. After three wins this weekend, Davenport jumped up into a tie for third place with Kent State at 22 points apiece. Oakland and Michigan-Dearborn are right behind Kent State and Davenport as the Grizzlies have 21 points on the season and Wolverines have 19 points on the year.

ACHA RankingsÂ
After Central Oklahoma lost their first game of the season, Arizona State and Central Oklahoma swapped the top two spots in the most recent ACHA rankings. Stony Brook moved up to number three while Ohio moved up from eighth to fourth in the country. The Panthers opponent this week, Adrian, rounds out the top five in the country. After going 1-2 in the first three game stretch, Davenport dropped from 15th to 17th in the ACHA rankings.
