GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. –
Ashlee Byrge recorded six tries and made 12 conversions to total 54 points, while
Danielle Ordway added three tries and
Melissa Francis contributed to two, as the Davenport women's rugby team opened the USA Rugby Nationals with a roaring 111-0 win over Illinois State on a cloudy and chilly Saturday afternoon on the Turf Field.

The Panthers were dominant from start to finish, as
Caren Brown,
Carrie Eggleston,
Courtenay Tafel,
Makala Ferguson, and
Raelynn Bartlette all contributed a try a piece, as well as
Taylor Van Langen who notched her first try of the season.
