Scouting UM-Dearborn – 8-20, 5-15 WHAC – Head coach John Mackson (3rd Year)
Third year head coach John Mackson has the Wolverines on a 2-game winning streak which is the first time since Dearborn entered the WHAC that they have won back to back league contests. The Wolverines defeated Madonna and Siena Heights last week and junior guard Jamiel Strickland was named the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) player of the week. Strickland currently leads the team in scoring at 11.5 points per game while Dustin Sielski is tops at 3.7 rebounds per night. Dearborn ranks No. 27 in NAIA DII in Scoring Defense as they hold their opponents to just 70.1 points per contest. They also rank No. 35 in Total Blocks with 87.
Last Meeting vs. UM-Dearborn
Davenport and UM-Dearborn have met once already this season with the Panthers posting a 60-39 victory back on February 5.
Dominez Burnett and
Kevin Rich were the only two players to reach double-figures as Burnett also grabbed 13 rebounds for a double-double. DU limited the Wolverines to just 16 first half points while holding the home team to a dismal 31.9% from the field. Brandon Cole led the Wolverines with a team high eight points.
History Against UM-Dearborn
Davenport, as did they against many of their WHAC foes, got off to a slow start in the all-time series, but they have dominated over the last five plus seasons. Since
Burt Paddock came on board in 2008-09, the Panthers are 12-1 and now lead the all-time series 15-7
