Davenport No. 2 in NWLL Ranks
The Panthers received the highest ranking in program history Monday when the National Women's Lacrosse League moved them two spots to No. 2 behind defending national champion Savannah College of Art & Design.
Natalie McHale Tabbed Defensive PoW
Junior
Natalie McHale was selected by both the NWLL and WHAC as their Defensive Players of the Week Monday. McHale is joined by Indiana Tech's Kendall Guthrie who was voted the Offensive Player of the Week. McHale had five ground balls and four caused turnovers upset third-ranked Robert Morris 12-7 on March 15. Throughout the week, the defender had an assist, three draw controls, four ground balls, and two caused turnovers in the Panthers 25-10 victory against Lawrence Tech.
Best Start in Program History
The Panthers, under the leadership of first-year head coach
Rob Harris, are off to the best start in program history with a 6-0 record.
Balch Chasing History
Taylor Balch is climbing up the ladder in two of the program's career lists. Her 90 goals ranks second all-time and needs 20 more to tie Michon Moline (2010-12) for the record. Balch also needs six more points to tie Moline's record 129 in that category.
