GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Freshman Jessica Lemcke and sophomore Sara Kuzava combined for 10 goals and winning 12 draws as the duo led the second-ranked Davenport women's lacrosse team to an 18-9 win over Siena Heights in the two schools' second meeting in less than 72 hours Tuesday night. The Panthers keep their winning momentum going as they improve to 10-0 overall, 5-0 in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference.
 
DU returns home for the final two home games of the regular-season starting with Lourdes Thursday at 7 p.m.
 
Lemcke tallied four of her six-goal evening in the first half and Kuzava found tallied two in each period. The two were also the only ones to score multiple goals as eight different Panthers found the back of the net once.
 
Mackenzie VanDerWarf led the effort in the defensive end by picking up eight of Davenport's 46 groundballs while causing seven turnovers. The Panthers wound up causing 23 turnovers against the Saints (4-4, 2-2 WHAC). Netminder Samantha Powers also had somewhat of a busy evening, making five saves including four in the second half while picking up three groundballs.
 
Davenport took a 2-0 lead on goals by Taylor Balch and Kuzava within the first three minutes but the Saints evened the score at the 22:08 mark. It was the closest the Saints got to the lead as the Panthers took control of the contest when Lemcke scored three of their five-goal run to take a 7-2 lead with 13:30 left.
 
The Panthers went into intermission leading 10-4. They also dominated the shooting category 27-5 in the opening period. DU finished the evening outshooting the Saints 46-15.

Davenport improves to a perfect 6-0 all-time against Siena Heights…With one goal in the game, Taylor Balch improves her career number to 100, needing 10 more to tie Michon Moline's record…Kaitlyn Lowden went scoreless for the first time this season, and the first since April 11, 2013 (12 games)…By picking up her ninth career win, freshman Samantha Powers has passed teammate Lena Henderson for third on the all-time list and now needs one more to tie Shaye Bradley for second
