Panthers Clinch First WHAC Crown
The Panthers, who finished the WHAC season 8-2, earned their first ever regular-season championship but have to share with Aquinas and Indiana Tech. The three schools handed a loss to each other during their respective meetings.

WHAC Tournament Begins
With Davenport, Aquinas and Indiana Tech sharing first place in the WHAC standings, the league office had to turn to a tiebreaker to determine the seeding of the tournament. After the first tiebreaking method (head-to-head result through the standings) were matched, the conference turned to the ratings percentage index through LaxPower. Davenport has the highest RPI followed by Aquinas and Indiana Tech.

About the WHAC Tournament
All six members of the WHAC receive a berth to the tournament. Davenport and Aquinas received a bye in the first round for being the top two seeds in the league while third-seed Indiana Tech hosted No. 6 Lourdes and No. 4 Siena Heights hosted No.5 Lawrence Tech. Forced to play its home game at SHU due to field conditions, Indiana Tech eliminated Lourdes 23-5 while Siena Heights ousted Lawrence Tech, 19-11.

What Happened Between DU and SHU?
The Panthers took the back-to-back meetings against the Saints during the regular season. DU took game one 19-5 on March 23 and nearly 48 hours later it survived the severe cold temperature to beat the Saints 18-9 in Adrian. Jessica Lemcke led the effort with nine goals in the two meetings and Sara Kuzava was not that far behind her with seven. Sydney VanHoose, Erin Kehn and Aliisa Mason each had three goals in the series to lead the Saints.
