Alex Law and
Daina Grazulis combined for 30 points in the second half as the No. 2 Davenport women's basketball team kept its undefeated record intact with a 71-52 road victory over No. 18 Siena Heights Wednesday night.

Grazulis finished the day with 26 points and a dozen rebounds for her eighth double-double of the season. After going scoreless in the first half, Law found her rhythm in the second by going a perfect 4-for-4 from 3-point range and adding her two free throws in as many chances for a 14 point evening.
Tiesha Stokes made a return for the first time since Dec. 6 and played a key role to helping the Panthers in the first half, scoring all eight points in the opening period.

Davenport (19-0, 13-0 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference) shot under 40 percent for the first time in seven games, going 25-for-65 (38.5 percent) from the field.

Siena Heights (15-5, 10-3 WHAC) relied heavily on leading scorer Sierra Calhoun, who produced 21 points including seven on the charity stripe, to lead the Saints. Jessie Arnold completed a double-double with a dozen points and 11 rebounds.

Overall, the Saints were held to a 37.3 shooting percentage and 1-for-10 from beyond the arc. They did, however, dominate the rebounding department 48-37.

The Saints jumped ahead and built a five-point lead 2:44 into the contest. Despite three lead changes and six ties, the Panthers had a momentum midway through the first half and went into the locker room leading 32-24.

Siena Heights brought the deficit down to four at the start of the second half but back-to-back 3's by Law and Grazulis gave the Panthers a 45-35 lead at the 11:37 mark.

Davenport returns home for a week to begin a two-game stand against its Beltline Rivals Cornerstone and Aquinas. The Golden Eagles will be the first to visit Saturday at 1 p.m.
