Live Stats A Quick Look at Madonna – 10-13, 6-9 WHAC – Head Coach Noel EmenhiserMadonna comes into the weekend with a 10-13 record on the season and is 6-9 in WHAC play, after they have won their last three games beating Marygrove and Lawrence Tech on the road and beat Concordia at home. The three game win streak for the Crusaders is the longest streak they have this season. Madonna scores an average of 66.9 points per game, while Shaun Duncan leads the team in scoring with 16.1 point per game and Kahlil Malone, who has started all 23 games, is the only other Crusader averaging in double figures with 12.7 points per game. The Crusaders have the seventh best field goal percentage defense in the NAIA as they allow their opponent to shoot just 39.8 percent from the field.
Panthers vs. CrusadersThe Crusaders lead the all-time series between Davenport and Madonna, as they have won 13 of 24 meetings between the two programs. Madonna won eight of the first nine matchups, but the Panthers have come back to win eight of the last 11 meeting including the last three straight. Both teams have had five game win streaks in the series, which is the longest in the series overall.
The Last Time Against the CrusadersIn the first meeting of the season between Davenport and Madonna, both teams battled back-and-forth in the first half as the Crusaders took their largest lead of the game, 31-26, with 4:28 left in the first half, but Davenport closed the half on 13-0 run to take a 39-31 lead at the half. Both team's had sharp shooting in the first half as Madonna shot 52.2 percent from the field, while Davenport shot 51.7 percent. In the second half, both team's cooled off as they both shot under 40 percent, but Davenport was able to pull away as they pulled away from the Madonna to take an 18 point lead with 8:48 left in the game en route to a 70-57 win.
Dominez Burnett led all scorers with 29 points and eight rebounds.
