Box Score BELLEVILLE, Ill. - The power play was the decisive factor in a 4-2 loss to Lindenwood-Belleville on Friday for the men's Division II hockey team. The home team scored all four goals with the man advantage and finished 4-for-9. Davenport only had three opportunities on the power play and went 1-for-3. L-B scored at 6:53 of the first period and later tacked on goals at 15:22 and 11:43 of the second period to build a 3-0 lead. Zac Bodziak got Davenport on the board at 3:33 of the second period on the power play with an assist from
Chris McRae. The Panthers cut the lead down to 3-2 at 17:24 left in the third period as
Trevor Murray scored from
Branden Burton and
Donald Sund. L-B got the insurance goal with three minutes remaining and the final tally of 4-2.
Christian Thompson made 38 saves in the contest while DU registered 25 shots on net. DU is now 1-5 overall this season.
