SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio - The men's rugby 15's traveled to Notre Dame College (Ohio) on Saturday and picked up a 38-3 win over the Falcons. The Panthers are now 3-3 this fall and have one more home match on Nov. 7 against Arkansas State at 4 p.m.
The Panthers trailed 3-0 after a penalty kick in the 5th minute but then reeled off 38 straight points to conclude the match.
Reese Oberlin got Davenport on the board in the 20th minute on a try and
Noah Zomberg converted the kick for a 7-3 lead. Zomberg scored on a penalty kick 12 minutes later and it was 10-3 at the half.
Kevin Lydon started the second half scoring on a try and Zomberg's conversion made it 17-3 in the 55th minute.
Brady Gent pushed the lead to 22-3 in the 68th minute and Zomberg's conversion made it 24-3.
Reece Czarnecki scored the last two tries in the 72nd and 80th minute and Zomberg remained perfect on conversions for a 38-3 final score.
