Game Recap: Women's Volleyball |

Women's Volleyball Caps Regular Season with Sweep of UM-Dearborn

SYLVANIA, Ohio – The DU women's volleyball team finished their regular season Saturday afternoon with a pair of WHAC games at host Lourdes University. The Panthers capped their day with a 3-0 win over UM-Dearborn following a loss to No. 18 Lourdes as they now stand at 21-18 overall with a 13-9 mark in the WHAC.

The Panthers began their day against the No.18 Gray Wolves who came into the day without a loss in 2015. DU was not able to take a set from Lourdes as they fell 25-19, 25-9, 25-23. The Panthers looked to fight back into the match in the third set as the Grave Wolves needed to battle to the end to take the match. DU took a six-point run to take a 19-18 lead, but Lourdes answered with four-straight points to take the lead for good. Marcey DeHaan totaled 10 kills on a .455 hitting percentage while Sydney Tracer added 22 assists. Morgan Torres led the defense with 10 kills.

The second match saw DU take out UM-Dearborn for their final regular season match of 2015. The Panthers flew past the Wolverines as they easily swept Dearborn 25-12, 25-13, 25-15. Davenport scored early in each set as they would leave Dearborn fighting uphill all match long. Molly Lameyer recorded nine kills to lead the attack with a .500 hitting percentage. Tracer totaled eight kills and 23 assists while Krissy Dill tallied eight kills and 10 digs. The Panthers advanced their WHAC record to 13-9 as they now head into the WHAC quarterfinals on November 13 at host Lourdes University.
