FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Davenport men's basketball team was able to stay atop the WHAC standings after they ran past Indiana Tech on Wednesday night.
Jason Jordan led the team with 16 points in a homecoming game for the junior from Fort Wayne, Ind. The Panther beat the Warriors 89-46 to move to 17-2 in the WHAC as they maintain a one game lead in the conference. Davenport will return home on Saturday afternoon as they host Concordia.

In just his third game back in Fort Wayne, Jordan led the Panthers with a career-high 16 points as he was 3-for-5 from behind the arc.
Dominez Burnett had 15 points, while leading the team with seven rebounds and five assists.
Kevin Rich had 14 points all in the first half, while not taking a shot in the second half, and
Nick Gamble rounded out the Panther scorers in double figure with 13 in his return to his hometown of Fort Wayne, Ind.

To start the game, Davenport jumped out to an early 9-2 lead just 2:05 into the game, but Indiana Tech was able to go on their own 9-2 run to tie the game at 11 with 15:52 left in the first half. The Panthers started pull as they took their largest lead of the first half with 3:43 remaining in the half after
Nick Gamble made a layup to give Davenport a 43-18 lead, and DU was able to take a 45-22 lead into the half after they shot 57.7 percent from the field.

The Panthers continued to run away from the Warriors to start the second half on an 18-2 run to take a 63-24 lead with 13:29 left in the second half.
Jason Jordan was 3-for-4 from behind the arc in the half to cap off a career night in his hometown of Fort Wayne, Ind. Davenport took their largest lead of the game with 4:32 left in the regulation after
John McCloud made banked home a layup to give the Panthers an 87-35 lead as Davenport went onto win 89-46.

The Panthers will now return to home to face Concordia on Saturday afternoon at the DU Student Center at 3 p.m.

Post-Game NotesWith eight free throws in the game by Burnett he now holds the program record for most made free throws with 480 made free throws… The Panthers tied their season-high with 14 steals in the game, while Jordan set a new career-high with four steals to lead the team…The 43 point win for Davenport was their largest margin of victory this season.
