WINTER HAVEN & BABSON PARK, Fla. – The No. 19 Davenport baseball team had to play two nine-inning games at two different locations Thursday. The Panthers struck early in both contests to take a 10-4 win over Goshen (Ind.) in Winter Haven and did the same a few hours later in their 9-1 win over Webber International in Babson Park later that night.

Nolan Wilson connected a two-run single to left field to send

Brendan Bender would single and then scored on
Matt Priebe's single. Much like the game from earlier in the day, the winning win was driven in in the third inning after a RBI double by Bender, an sacrifice fly by Priebe followed by a single by
Zack Sardellitti gave Davenport a 5-0 lead.
Â
Bender tossed four innings before turning it over to
Alex Schuiling, striking out five and allowing the only run on a homer in the third. Schuiling (3-0) picked up the win after throwing three shutout innings.
Â
Davenport will return to Lake Myrtle Park in Auburndale for a nine-inning game with NCAA Division II Ashland Friday at 7 p.m.
