GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After dominating Wheeling-Jesuit in the opening round of the D1A Playoffs, the no. 3 Davenport rugby team shifts its focus to a top five team in Army, as the Panthers will travel to West Point, N.Y. tomorrow to take on the Black Knights for a chance to advance to the semi-finals. The opening kickoff is set for 1 p.m. with the match being held in Army's Anderson Rugby Complex.

The PanthersThe Panthers are currently firing on all cylinders as they bring a three-game winning streak into Saturday's contest, which includes a commanding 26-7 victory over Mid-South rival Lindenwood, and the opening round 38-8 victory over Wheeling-Jesuit.
Reece Czarnecki and
Anthony Welmers each recorded a pair of tries in ths win over Wheeling-Jesuit, and
Jean Pierre Eloff led all Panther scorers with 18 points including a try of his own.
Davenport will once again be without its All-American prop in
Angus MacLellan for the second straight week, as he is currently in South America, touring with the USA Rugby Selects.
The MatchupSaturday's contest will be a rematch of last year's opening round of the 2014 D1A Playoffs, where Army visited the Panthers on the DU Turf Field, where the Panthers came out victorious with a 28-24 victory after a last minute Reece Oberlin try.
This will be Army's first match of the 2015 D1A playoffs, as they earned a first round bye after winning the eastern division conference title this year.
