GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The final game of the regular season for the No. 4 Davenport men's rugby team is upon us as Mid-South rival Lindenwood pays their first visit of the season to the Turf Field this Saturday at 4 p.m. Saturday's contest will be considered a rubber match for the two program's since they each have claimed a victory against one another in this 2014-15 campaign.

The PanthersThe Panthers have had a grueling spring schedule, already having two games against No. 1 Life and a previous visit to Lindenwood under their belt, but were unable to come away with a single victory in those three contests.
Jean Pierre Eloff leads all Panther scorers with 86 total points on 16 penalty kicks, 14 conversions and five tries. In the Panthers' last three Mid-South contests, Eloff has accounted for 39 of the team's 54 points scored in the three losses to Life and Lindenwood.
The MatchupAlthough the Panthers and Lions have split the two games they played against each other this season, Lindenwood dominates the overall series owning a 9-3 all time record against Davenport.
In the last contest between the two that took place on Lindenwood's home turf, The Panthers got out to an early 10-0 lead, and eventually went into the halftime break with a 16-10 lead. The Lions were able to completely shutout Davenport in the second half, and escaped with a 20-16 victory.
