LIMA, Ohio – The Panthers continued their play in the WHAC Wednesday night as they faced off in a road match with the University of Northwestern Ohio. Davenport continued their consistent play as they advanced to 4-1 in the conference with a 3-1 win over the Racers.
Davenport took the early 1-0 match lead following a 25-17 set victory. The Panthers broke the 14-to-14 stalemate to take three-straight points on the way to their early match lead. The Racers managed to bounce back and tie the match in set two with a 25-23 win.
The Panthers assumed control of the match after this set back as they took the final two sets to advance to 8-6 overall on the season.
Molly Lameyer led the offensive charge for the Panthers with a 22-kill performance on a .588 hitting percentage.
Marcey DeHaan added 15 kills and
Sami White added 44 assists. The Panthers also saw stout play defensively as
Morgan Torres compiled 18 digs and
Emma Matthew totaled 12. This win over the Racers advances the win streak for the Panthers to five games.
