BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The Panthers finished their weekend at the Olivet Nazarene Invitational Saturday afternoon with matchups against Columbia College and Bellevue University.
Davenport came in riding a seven-match win streak but the No. 12 Columbia College Cougars halted this win streak with a 3-0 sweep of the Panthers. DU battled throughout the match as
Molly Lameyer totaled nine kills on a .350 hitting percentage and
Sami White recorded 24 assists. The Panthers were not able to take a set despite strong defensive performance from
Morgan Torres as she led the team with eight digs.
The second match of the day saw the Panthers take on Bellevue University. Davenport battled Bellevue to three straight 25-21 decisions, but were never able to come out on top as they dropped their second match of the day. Lameyer, once again, led the offense as she totaled eight kills while
Krissy Dill added seven. Torres maintained her stout defense with 15 digs and
Sarah Wendling recorded three blocks.
