GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The women's rugby team set a school record for points on Saturday in a 158-0 win over Saginaw Valley State at the DU Turf Field. The 15's scored five times in the first 10 minutes to build a 35-0 lead.
Makala Ferguson scored first from about 40 yards and a little over a minute later it was
Brenna Donahue rumbling nearly 60 yards to get the team off to a quick start.
Ashlee Byrge used her speed for the team's third try and
Hannah Tennant converted three conversions for a 21-0 lead.
Danielle Ordway scored twice in the first half for the Panthers.
Allison Miedzielec ran through several defenders for a 50-yard try making it 35-0 at the 30:55 mark.

Hunter Moreland, Ferguson,
Melissa Francis,
Kayla Fletcher and
Jori Smith all scored in the remaining time of the first half as Davenport built an 80-0 lead at halftime. Moreland scored four more times in the second half with each one covered a great distance.
Madison Sparks had two tries in the second half. Smith had two more tries in the second half. In total, 12 different Panthers had a try in the contest against a severely undermatched Cardinal squad. Tennant finished with 11 conversions in 13 tries. Byrge finished with eight conversions in 11 chances.
