LIVONIA, Mich. – The Panthers travelled to take on Marygrove College Friday night in a WHAC road matchup. Davenport rolled to a sweep as they now stand at 11-9 overall with a 5-2 mark in the WHAC.
Davenport controlled the first set, 25-16, led by
Ashley VanderHorst as she compiled five kills. The Panthers continued this momentum into the second set as they jumped out to an early 10-3 lead. They used this consistent play to take set number two easily, 25-14. VanderHorst continued to lead the Panthers in set three as she went on to record 10 kills for the match on a .421 hitting percentage. The Panthers took set three, 25-19, as

Sydney Tracer combined for 34 assists.
Morgan Torres led the defense with 12 digs and
Sarah Wendling contributed four blocks.
The Panthers compiled 42 kills as a team and recorded 44 digs. The defense recorded seven blocks and held Marygrove to a .030 hitting percentage.
